should prepare for war or not.The preparedness movement argued that if US as pulled into the war it would be better
to be prepared for it. Other Americans disagreed. In 1915 Carrie Champ Catt and Jane Addams, leaders of the woman
suffrage movement, founded the Women's Peace Party, this organization was created to keep America out of the war
by covencing the president to not even build up the military.
America officials back Britain:
One group was pro British. Many American military leaders backed the British, they believe that an Allied victory was
the only way to preserve the international balanced of power. British worded really hard to have American support, one
method they used was Propaganda. Both sides used propaganda Americans and Germans but the Germans
propaganda was mostly against Russians. In the other hand British cutted the transatlantic telegraph cable from
Europe to the US, and with that in mind most of the war news was going to be based on British reports.
